Since 1910, the Boy Scout Motto, ”Be Prepared”, has been used to teach more than 111 million Scouts (both domestically and abroad) the importance of being ready to at all times.
Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Scouting Movement, explained the Motto’s goal as:
“Be Prepared in Mind by having thought out beforehand any accident or situation that might occur, so that you know the right thing to do at the right moment, and are willing to do it. Be Prepared in Body by making yourself strong and active and able to do the right thing at the right moment, and do it.”
In keeping with the Motto and the core identity of a Boy Scout, the Be Prepared® brand licensed products give users piece-of-mind when in use.
The target audience for Be Prepared® licensed products encompasses every age group and product categories where readiness and preparedness are important considerations.
The BSA is currently seeking licensed product opportunities in apparel, camping and outdoors, sporting goods, health and safety, general and emergency preparedness for the Be Prepared brand.
